The Iconostasis carving and painting completed, the Artist proceeds to set up the scaffolding for the decoration of the Altar walls and vault.

"Struggle for the Soul of Man"
According to the Artist:
"This sculpture depicts the forces of Good controlling the actions of man (by holding down his hands), and the forces of Evil keeping man from progress (by stepping on his feet). The Soul (seen in the center) is the energy that feeds the process."
